Care of Shungite

To keep your Shungite product looking at its best it is recommended to use warm soapy water to clean it and then leave in the sun for a few hours to dry out completely. As Shungite never takes on a negative charge, there is nothing else required, making it an easy care product.

Did you know that this is also called Noble Shungite or Type 1 Shungite. If you see it referred to in this way, rest assured that it is the correct thing, only different terminology. We always refer to it as Elite.

Elite Shungite – Contains up to 98% carbon. The properties of Shungite that make it popular worldwide include water purification and protection against electromagnetic fields (EMF) and 5G radiation.

Elite is as the same suggests, is the best at providing this EMF shielding and restorative powers. It simply works faster than the other types.

Elite (sometimes referred to as Noble or Type 1) has a distinctive silver metallic appearance. Only about 1% of Shungite that is mined has the amount of carbon (up to 98%) in it to be called Elite. The atomic structure of Elite does not allow it to be carved or shaped. You will only find it in its natural raw shape. You will often find other minerals infused into it.

Petrovsky Shungite – falls in between Elite and Regular Shungite in the amount of carbon it contains.

This type of Shungite was named after Peter the Great, Russian Tsar from 1682 until his death in 1725. You can read more here.

Contains up to 75% carbon. The properties of Shungite that make it popular worldwide include water purification and protection against electromagnetic fields (EMF) and 5G radiation. It has the same energy as Elite and its appearance is truly between Elite Shungite which is silvery shiny and regular Shungite which is black. Petrovsky looks like a dull grey form of Elite.
