How do you go about cleaning Shungite? Do you need to cleanse Shungite?
The words are similar but in the crystal world the meanings are quite different.
Cleansing Crystals
There are a lot of Crystals that need to be cleansed to re-energise them. Some don’t. For example Clear Quartz and Selenite. You don’t need to cleanse them.
Others crystals like Moonstone can be cleansed by the moon, or Sunstone can be cleansed by the Sun. These are just a few of the many crystals that can be cleansed to re-energise them. Out with the negative energy!!!!
So what about Shungite. Well, for a start, Shungite is not a Crystal. It is a stone. A rock. Not a crystal. So it doesn’t need to be cleansed.
But, it does need to be cleaned, just for aesthetic reasons. Not only is Shungite working hard for you all the time, it is also a beautiful piece of architectural décor in its own right in your home or a lovely piece of jewellery that you wear.
So you want it to look its best! Of course you do.
Well its pretty simple. For cleaning Shungite, all you need to do is use a cloth to remove the dust and if you need, wipe it down with a damp cloth. Don’t use any kind of unnatural cleaners. That’s really it. Nothing more to be done.
